 Whether you decide to buy a home in a gated country club community in Pinehurst or not, you will want to consider “joining” a club that is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association if you are a golfer.
You can simply sign up at a public course to maintain your handicap; and by doing so you become a member of the CGA. You can also sign up at a private club in your golf community. Every public course and private club in NC and SC is a CGA member. By playing in CGA tournaments, you get to visit and play a lot of great golf courses other than your home course.
The CGA sponsors over 100 One Day Tournaments every year – plus a lot of others. Tournaments are open to players of all skill and age levels. The organization also holds over 30 annual championships. Registration is easy, online and usually costs about $50 per tournament entry.
