Pinehurst NC Best Golf Deals – Insiders' Guide

Images of Pinehurst, southern pines, whispering pines and seven lakes

The Pinehurst NC area is a golfer's paradise with over 40 courses open for public play and great values when it comes to Club Membership and Golf Real Estate. There are some great deals in and around Pinehurst – you just have to know where to find them. Here are few of the very best:

Pinehurst Country Club – It costs $12,000 to join the Pinehurst Country Club . You get access to 6 courses, including Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4 - arguably two of the best in the world. 2 of the 6 Pinehurst courses are set aside each day just for Members. If you are flexible with tee times, you won't have a problem. If all you do is sign up for morning tee times on the weekends - yes, of course it will be crowded. But then again, you can always spend $100,000 + to join a premier club in a big city that has only 1 course! Click Here for More Information on Pinehurst Country Club Membership.

Avestra Golf's New “Sandhills Original” Membership Package – Avestra manages 4 different Pinehurst Area Country Clubs with 6 courses (Southern Pines, Whispering Pines, Foxfire and Hyland Hills). For $500, you can become a golf member of all 4 clubs and you'll pay $250 in monthly dues plus cart fees if you drive ($16 per round). Click Here for More Information on the Avestra Golf Deal page.

Golf Capital Card – The card costs $55, and entitles you to discounts at about a dozen area courses, including: Talamore, Little River, The Carolina, Tobacco Road, The Pit and many more. I figured out that my Golf Capital Card paid for itself in about 2 weeks! Click Here for More Information on the Golf Capital Card.

Play in the Afternoon – Most courses open for public play offer discounted afternoon rates. Afternoon can mean after 12, after 2 pm , or after 4 pm . Just check before you go.

Play in the Summer – Locals enjoy great rates in the Summertime, technically “low season” at the golf resorts. There's a finite number of us locals, and the area clubs love to offer good deals to those of us who are going to play golf somewhere every weekend.

Charity Benefit Tournaments – Very popular in the Pinehurst area; and there's usually one every weekend. It's a great way to play some of the area's best courses with a group of friends at a discounted rate and contribute to a great cause at the same time.

Carolinas Golf Association – The CGA has tournaments somewhere almost every weekend year round - from best ball events that are just for fun to seriously competitive tournaments. Access some incredible courses in North and South Carolina at rates that you would never get otherwise. Plus, some events are held on private courses that you could not play otherwise.

Other Area Clubs – You have a lot of options, most of which are probably much more economical than a Country Club Membership where you live. Choosing the right Club goes hand in hand with choosing the perfect home; and we are here to help with your property search and your search for the Country Club that suits you the best.

McDevitt Sotheby's Golf Outings – Last but not least, if you want to play at a Pinehurst Area Course, just let our staff know and Noel will treat you to a round of golf. Call us at 800-788-8814 or 910-693-7901.
