CCNC

CCNC, short for the Country Club of North Carolina, is the oldest private country club in the Pinehurst area.  CCNC is a gated residential community of single family homes, with golf front homes, waterfront homes and homes on lots as large at 5 – 10 acres.  All houses in the community, regardless of size or location, are situated on large private lots.   CCNC is a large community, covering hundreds of acres.  There are 2 small lakes with lakefront homes for sale.  There are also a number of smaller ponds throughout the subdivision.

What are the homes like?

All of the houses at CCNC are custom homes.  In other words, there’s no spec building by developers or contractors.  So, all of the homes for sale are existing homes custom built for the current owner (or a previous owner).  Home prices in CCNC range from the $200k’s all the way to about $2 Million.   Lower priced homes are usually older, smaller homes in need of renovating.

Why CCNC?

CCNC features 2 of the finest golf courses in the area.  The Dogwood Course hosted the US Amateur in 1982, and is one of the most scenic courses in the state.  The Cardinal course is newer, but has matured over the years to rival the Dogwood tract in quality and popularity among the members.  Both courses has received extensive updates to keep them at world class standards.

All traffic in and out of CCNC must use the main entrance on Morganton Road. The location is incredibly convenient. For example, CCNC is less than 10 minutes from the Hospital, about ½ from the Fresh Market (yippee), and less than 10 minutes from the Village of Pinehurst and downtown Southern Pines. There are not many neighborhoods anywhere in the country with CCNC’s amenities that are so close to two such unique and very different quaint downtown areas.
