The McDeeds Creek Neighborhood is located just outside of the Southern Pines City Limits with it’s main entrance on Camp Easter Rd. Horse farms are permitted in McDeeds Creek, and there’s a mix of small farms and homes on 5 – 10 acre parcels. While most of the houses in McDeeds Creek are visible from the sandy roads that wind through the neighborhood, they are very private and typically have longer driveways through the wooded terrain to maximize privacy. While it is possible to trail ride from the small farms in McDeeds Creek, it’s fair to say that most horse owners in the community either ride on their own property or on the sand roads inside McDeeds Creek. It’s just a short trailer ride over the Walthour Moss Foundation for serious trail riding.
There’s a big variety . . . . . usually depending on whether the owners have a small farm or simply want the privacy of a huge lot.
Privacy. The ability to have a small horse farm. The Greenway Trail and Reservoir Park are closeby.
