All Knollwood Heights Listings
Knollwood Heights is an older established Southern Pines Neighborhood that’s often associated with the Pine Needles Golf Club. Although there’s not formal connection, a number of the golf front homes are situated on the famous Pine Needles course. Knollwood Heights has quite streets lined with houses of all sizes, mostly on large lots. It’s fairly comparable to the Weymouth Heights. The difference is that Weymouth Heights is within walking distance of Downtown So Pines and Weymouth Woods. On the other hand, Knollwood Heights is within walking distance of the Pine Needles Club. Pine Needles is one of the original Southern Pines institutions. It’s been around in one form or another for nearly 100 years. You can join the Club for full use of the golf and other amenities, but you can dine in any one of the restaurants even if you don’t join. More on the Pine Needles Club.
WHAT ARE THE HOMES LIKE?
There’s a huge range from very small 2 bedroom ranch style homes, to golf front homes of all sizes, to large estates with 5,000 sq. ft. luxury homes that were built in the 1920’s and have since been totally renovated. Selling prices average about $325k, but there was a recent sale well over $1 Million and every now and then, a smaller fixer-upper comes on the market. Those get grabbed pretty quickly as the neighborhood is very popular.
